21.2km of running in the Vancouver liquid sunshine. The route up at UBC was fantastic and the weather could have been a lot worse. It rained for the entire run but that wasn’t horrible, temperature was reasonable though.
My goal time was sub 2:00 with a real unspoken goal of 1:45. I knew I wasn’t going to hit 1:45 though, I haven’t picked up that much speed yet, so I figured I’d aim for sub 1:55.
I don’t have my chip time yet, but by gun time I beat 1:53 quite handily and I know how long it took me to get to the start, so I know I’m in the sub 1:52 category!
And that gives me hope.
Son was running the 10km this morning and finished up in the sub 52:00 range. How bloody cool is that? Jerk is going to blow my socks off if he actually trains
Time for a hot tub, even if it’s not the best idea in the world.
