I know that everyone in Vancouver is complaining about the weather, but holy crap, can it make up it’s mind? At various times today I’ve been swimming in a lake, getting a tan while mowing the lawn, looking at the sky waiting for rain, freezing in the wind and just now, looking out my window at the gray that is the sky.
The plan today was to do the following things:
1 – Clean the damned house
2 – Get a hair cut
3 – Go for a swim
4 – Get good groceries
5 – Swap on my race wheels and adjust my seat slightly
The swim came first and completely out of expected order and only half as long as anticipated. 1 loop of Sasamat was good though for a 2.5km version of the 2km swim. Some of that will be GPS screw-ups that close to the water, some of it will have been bad sighting. 46 minutes of swim time, 57 minutes total time (we waited at each dock for the whole group to get together).
Then the haircut which constitutes the most weight I’ve lost in weeks
Here’s to hoping it helps with heat on the bike and run and doesn’t get stuck in the back of my wet suit. Who knows, I might even look younger again. The constant training has been getting me tired and I’ve been feeling old of late. If a bit of a haircut can spruce me up and help me feel more energetic, great!
And that’s it. I did mow the lawn and do the weed eater thing around the edges, but no additional cleaning took place.
A late lunch obviated the need for real food for dinner, so I ate ice cream.
Tomorrow now has a plan; clean the house, get groceries, swap wheels, do lots of laundry.
Good enough.
